Click to choose the type of underline you want.Click the down-arrow next to the Underline button.Select the text you want to underline.Note: To remove the italic, select the text and then click the Italic button again. Click the Bold button in the Font group.Others are available only through the Font dialog box, which you access by clicking the dialog box launcher in the Font group. Many of these options appear when you click the down-arrow next to the Underline button. Word offers several types of underlines, including single, double, thick, dotted, dashed, dot-dash, wave, and words only. For example, you can bold and underline, bold and italicize, or italicize, underline, and bold. With Word, you can apply any combination of formats to text. For example, you italicize the title of a book. Also, certain grammatical constructs require that you bold, underline, or italicize.
